Buckbarrow
Buckbarrow is one of the smallest of the Wasdale Fells. It looks imposing but there is an easy route up from Harrow Head.
Ascents
Wainwright lists just one route up Buckbarrow and it presents no difficulties. As with most of the small summits, the route ascends quickly right from the start, with lovely
walking through ferns (in the summer). Once the main climb is completed, it is then a simple walk along a wide grassy slope to the summit.
On a clear day, this affords fabulous views of the Wasdale Peaks.
