The Wainwright Guides are full of idiosyncrasies and Grange Fell is one of them. It contains not one but two peaks, which are at least a mile apart. The Langdale Pikes, on the other hand, are classified in the book as four distinct peaks and Scafell Pike, which used to be known as Scafell Pikes is one peak, despite having three distinct 'pikes'. In any case, Grange Fell is worth visiting because of the lovely views of Borrowdale that can be seen from either summit. Those who enjoy a woodland walk will gain a lot of pleasure from the excursion as the first half goes through some charming woodland.
