High Raise is the tallest fell of the Central Fells. Unlike the other highest peaks, it has no proud bearing or daunting aspect, especially when approached from the Langdale Pikes. In fact, after visiting the Pikes and Sergeant Man, the only draw to High Raise is the fact that the Wainwright Guide points out that it is there. Nonetheless, the views to the North are excellent.
