High Spy is, essentially, a peak along a ridge of Peaks, including Catbells, Maiden Moor and Dale Head. Of course, it can be visited on its own, but having ascended Dale Head or Catbells, it is logical to continue on and visit the other fells in the area. The only downside is that if you travel by car, then your car will be quite a way from your finishing point.

It is best, IMHO, to park at Keswick and take the boat on Derwent Water to Nicol End and then ascend Catbells and proceed to High Spy or Dale Head. Then ascend back to the road and pick up the bus to Keswick. (Just check the bus times before departing!)
