The North Western Fells
These fells are those east of Crummock Water/Buttermere but west of Derwent Water. The highest fell is Grasmoor but there are also popular, and easy to climb, fells such as Catbells and Castle Crag.
This lovely area contains the Newlands Valley, and the drive from Keswick to Buttermere through this valley is truly spectacular. I far prefer it to the drive through the Honister Pass. But that's just me!
